Insurance and Policies

Insurance

We accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Behavior Health, United Health Care Community Plan of Texas, United Health Care, Molina, Humana and Cigna EAP.

We also offer sliding scale fees for families and individuals that do not have insurance. 

We will soon be accepting Amerigroup, Community Health Choice, Magellan, Texas Children Health Plan (CHIP) and more. Please call our office for questions. 


If we are currently not accepting your insurance but you have an insurance plan that includes coverage for out of network services, we are happy to supply you with a super bill that you can submit for reimbursement. If you are not sure about your coverage, please contact your insurance provider’s member services. 

While some of our providers accept insurance, there are benefits of seeing a provider who is not in-network with your insurance company.  Some benefits may include increased confidentiality, no limit on number of sessions, and potentially not being required to have a diagnosis to be covered.  Please call our office for more information.

Payment Policy

We accept all major credit cards (excluding American Express), debit cards, cash and Zelle. Payment must be paid at time of service. Rates are subject to adjustment. When rates are adjusted, clients are notified two months in advance. 

Credit Card Policy 
 

In accordance with our Cancellation and No Show Policy, A&E Counseling retains all current and future scheduled clients' credit card information on file. The client's credit card will not be charged until service is rendered, or in the event that the client has a cancellation or no-show without sufficient cancellation notice. This information is strictly confidential and highly secured.​In the event that a client fails to pay for services rendered and/or untimely cancellation/no show, every attempt will be made to collect past-due amounts. After 60 days, past due accounts will be turned over to collections.

Cancellation/Rescheduling/No-Show Policy

Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance by calling 713-205-3167 or e-mailing a.gutierrez@anecounseling.com to avoid being charged for the full session. 

Extended Time Policy

If a session runs longer the fee will be prorated by the current session's price. Extended sessions are billed in 15 minute increments based on the current session's rate.
